-Affordable Housing Program - In an effort to address the housing needs of those that exceed the low-income limits required to qualify for Public Housing and the Housing Choice Voucher Program, yet do not have the resources necessary to rent on the private market, HADC has and continues to develop affordable housing. Affordable housing targets those at 80% or less of the Average Median Income (AMI) for the area.
-Homeownership Program -enables eligible individuals and families who are receiving rental assistance to use their vouchers to purchase a home. There are specific qualifications that must be met for participation.
-Scattered Sites – currently 28 units that HADC has purchased throughout the county and provides for low-incomeresidents at an affordable rental rate (As of March 26, 2014)
-Collaborative, Community Based Programs- -PTS Consulting Group (PTS) – an affiliated non-profit that offers affordable housing consulting services.
-Housing Development Corporation- –also an affiliate of HADC, offering affordable housing solutions to Dekalb County and Georgia residents. Established in 1988.
-Resident Services Corporation –another non-profit, created in 2013, which uses “community-based problem solving and neighborhood-oriented strategies to promote self-reliance and self-sufficiency.” It focuses mainly on “human development.”
